We were in school and they called Valita to the office. I heard what had happened and thought it was the most terrible thing! I didn't think I could have stood it at that time. I'm so sorry to hear about Mrs. McKinnon's death. "lgepadams" at Class1960 Club (11/27/01) I believe Valita married Greg Loser. Greg graduated from the Air Force Academy. I ran into him in Del Rio, Texas on an inspection visit to the Air Force Base there. This was in 1989 or 1990 I believe. I saw where Valita's address in the Obit was Garden Ridge, Texas. I am almost sure that is right outside Randolph AFB, near San Antonio. I wonder if Greg is still in the AF. He was a Colonel in 1989. If he is still in, he is probably a General. Does anyone know? Michael Drain (11/28/01) Posted at Malvern1960 Club Mrs. Goza has died. Does anybody remember her, what grades she taught, subject, etc? I saw her obituary in the MDR 11/27/01. It said she was at Pratt & also taught the 9th grade. Bill Lamkins (12/5/01) To Leon: Do you remember Mrs. Goza? What she taught? She died Nov. 27. The obituary said she was at Pratt school and taught 9th grade. Her last name later was McKinnon. I recall the name but nothing else. Bill (12/5/01) Mrs. Goza was one of my teachers, but I must be having a "Senior Moment" as I cannot remember what she taught. I think there was something on the 1959 site about it though. I have invited Nell Rose Walters Snyder to join. It seems she has tried to join, but could not get it to work. Maybe it will work this time. I am sure she will know about Mrs. Goza. Martha Chadwick Lindvall (12/5/01) I think the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette obit said she taught 8th grade English, and, if I remember correctly, she was a really good teacher. Jean Edwards Freeman (12/8/01) I don’t think this is the Mrs. Goza that we knew, it must have been her daughter. The one we knew was a hundred years old when we knew her. Leon Key (12/9/01)
