ELAINE TOWNLEY Posted at the Malvern1960 Club: Elaine Townley Shoptaw Prayers are requested for Elaine as she underwent heart surgery in early February and is still in the CVICU at the Baptist Hospital in Little Rock. She is not allowed any visitors, but her husband, Raymond, has asked for all of us to remember Elaine in our prayers and thoughts. -Martha Chadwick Lindvall (3/5/09) I talked to Elaine's daughter tonight and she said Elaine was doing better. See, prayers do count!!!!! They moved her to a room today. But still NO VISITORS. When the family goes in they have to suit up and wear a mask. Don't know how long she will be there. We will just have to continue to pray that God's will be done in her life. Her daughter says she is still not out of the woods but sounds very optimistic. As I hear more, I will let you know. If you didn't get the first message, Elaine had a heart transplant in January. -Judy Norcross Huey (3/11/09) I called the hospital room (by the way, I was given the wrong room number,) it is 834, and no one answered. I looked in the phone book and by chance Larry, Elaine's brother was at his Pool and Spa business, got a bit of information from him. He said they were probably in therapy. Anyway, she is still in the hospital. The reason she was returned to the hospital after being sent home the first time was because she developed pneumonia. Larry said she is very weak. At one time Larry said the doctor told them to go in and say their goodbye's but I guess the Lord isn't through with her here on earth yet because she rallied back and doing better day by day. We can pray His will be done. He has been helping his mother, Lois Townley who still lives in Malvern, and will be 88 soon, go back and forth to see Elaine. They have to suit up and wear masks before they go in. Mrs. Townley still mows her own lawn. If you want to send cards to the hospital here is the address: Baptist Medical Center 9601 Interstate 630 Room 834-Betty Shoptaw Little Rock, AR 72205 Her name is Betty Elaine Shoptaw So if you put Elaine Shoptaw they might not know who she is. That is what her daughter told me. I had forgotten that. Larry said he would keep me up to date. Hope so and I will try to pass her progress on to all of you too. Prayers. -Judy Norcross Huey (3/16/09) I called the hospital today and Elaine has been discharged. So, I guess she is better. Her home address is 10710 Crestdale Lane, Little Rock, AR 72212 If you would, put it on the 60's home site I would appreciate it.
