Scrimshire, age 63, of Malvern, died Friday, February 10, 2006, at the Arkansas Hospice in North Little Rock. He was born in Malvern on April 8, 1942, to the late Perry and Dora Lucille Agee Scrimshire. Reared and receiving his early education here, he was an outstanding athlete while a student at Malvern High School. He attended Ouachita Baptist University on a football scholarship, where he was on the track team, was varsity football captain on the AIC All Star team, and was vice president of the Men's Judicial Disciplinary Board. He earned his Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Arkansas School of Law at Fayetteville. He was a trial lawyer for 33 years, and Deputy Prosecutor for 12 years, handling felonies only. Over the past year, he has served as Circuit Judge at Rockport, and Prosecuting Attorney at Friendship. Ed was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps and a member of the First Baptist Church. He is survived by Martha Chadwick Lindvall, Jane Ellen Phillips, Stacey Ann Adame, Bill and Jim Scrimshire, Sandra Lindy, James Randall Daniel, Brooke Lindvall Bailey, Chad Lindvall, four grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. His funeral service will be held on Monday afternoon, February 13, 2006, at one o'clock in the sanctuary of First Baptist Church with Judge[Retired] John W. Cole delivering the eulogy, and Reverend Jan Edwards in charge of the committal service. Interment with full military honors provided by the Thaddeus Carraway Post 2278, VFW, of Hot Springs will follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery under the direction of J. A. Funk Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be a group of close friends. The family will receive friends at the mortuary on Sunday evening from six until eight o'clock.
